The significance of Christmas is known to men all over the world. Though it is true that Christmas is celebrated as the day of birth of Jesus Christ in this world., yet it also symbolises a very deep significant truth of the spiritual life. Jesus Christ is the very personification of Divinity. He was born at a time when ignorance, superstition, greed, hatred and hypocrisy prevailed upon then land. Purity was forgotten and morality was neglected. Then, the Son of God emerged as the supreme saviour for the entire mankind. Christmas is the time when family, relatives and friends come together and celebrate the festival with full joy.
The celebrations at MVJIS started off with the Secret Santa game, where different tasks were assigned by the santas to their angels. It was real fun to perform those tasks and all the staff was truly engaged in them throughout. Despite the pandemic, the entite staff took part in the festivities, though virtual for some of them. On 23rd December, everyone gathered around dressed up in their best of reds and whites to celebrate christams and spread the joy of giving. Gifts were exchanged, carols were sung and cristmas tree was decorated along with the crib being arranged- it was really an added colour to the Christmas celebrations in the campus.
