Language Teaching at MVJIS

  • Language teaching is an art.
  • A language is a system of communication.
  • Students in primary school are at the age where they have just learned the Fundamentals of language and can communicate clearly.
  • Research shows that learning a different language boosts problem-solving,
  • Critical-thinking, and listening skills, in addition to improving memory, concentration, and the ability to multitask. Children proficient in other languages also show signs of enhanced creativity and mental flexibility.

At MVJIS we teach three languages namely ENGLISH, KANNADA and HINDI right from primary level. English stands as the medium of instruction. Kannada and Hindi are taught from grade -1 as per the framed curriculum.

We abide by the language policy passed by the State Government of Karnataka. At MVJIS, we teach Kannada as either the first or second Language from grades I to X. The curriculum is designed to build on foundation stage so that students develop a firm grasp of language they learn.
